You may notice that there are some new inventions appearing.

Please try them out and let me know if there are any issues, as unfortunately I am in no position to make or test them :-/

There are 8 so far and should be more over the coming days.
Please msg me if you have any ideas or requests that I can take credit for :-)

Great stuff, Jarak, cheers! :-)

Just one question (and it may seem like a daft question, but I don't know how much control over the game Grim...'s given you) - do any of the new inventions advantage the savs carrying them, or are they just "things"? If they're just things, that's cool, as it's cool to have cool new stuff, but it would be really cool if you could introduce some genuinely game-changing items.

They do have an impact on the game.
The items do have "stats".

So yes, they do have a purpose beyond being a "big pile of stuff".

I can't do a lot of the things that I would like to do as that would require code, and only Grim... can do that, but I am only going to add things that do something. (Even if it is just lead to things that do something :-)

If anyone can post some stats on how long it takes to invent these items (and with how good an inventor) it would be useful.

Building numbers would also be good.

And obviously any successful use of an item :-)

I am basically guessing on how big a lot of the numbers should be so there will be some trial and error :-)

This sort of thing is notoriously difficult to gauge accurately; most of the new things seem to take between 30 and 60 days for a level 1 inventor, but that's further complicated by the fact that the level 1 inventor has crazily high stats in everything (plus 5 bars across the board) which probably speeds things up a bit.

But I'll try to get a more accurate picture with some of my more "normal" savs and let you know.

The Golden Sword takes 10 days with a level 8 inventor.

UPDATE -
I now have a total of 54 weapons constructed, but they will not all be available until after the reset.

I still have to consider blunt weapons and axes, but I may leave them for now ...

I am going to work on some new armour, cloths and jewellery too, so I am yet to firm up the reset date ...
